HW & SW requirements
Archiver Requirements
Archiver has the same requirements as the HW & SW requirements of Clipen technology.
NOTE: When sizing a machine for Archiver operation, consider the expected number of pages per day instead of the number of hits per day (Archiver processes only pages). That means that the typical Clipen technology hardware requirements should be adequate for a network load of about 5 – 10 million pages (or page views) per day.
Inspector Requirements
Windows version:
- MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista (32-bit)
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher), Opera 8.0 (or higher), Netscape 7.1 (or 8.0), Firefox 1.0 (or higher), or Mozilla 1.7
- x86-compatible processor (Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron, at least 2 GHz recommended)
- 1GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
- 20GB of available hard disk space plus space for (decompressed) archives
Linux version:
- 32-bit kernel 2.6 (RHEL 4, RHEL 5 or SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 recommended)
- OpenSSL 0.9.7 or higher (except the 0.9.8e version, which is not supported1)
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0
- Netscape 7.1 (or 8.0), Firefox 1.0 (or higher), or Mozilla 1.7
- x86-compatible processor (Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron, at least 2 GHz recommended)
- 1GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
